Electrical Elevate Training NOW in Brooklyn Location!
Knowledge is power. TWU Local 100 - NYCT Training and Upgrading Fund (TUF), has partnered with Electrical and HVAC/R Training Center to help train current workforce members who are looking to work their way into new positions that require educational experience to meet job qualifications. TUF has reviewed Electrical and HVAC/R Training Center Electrical and HVAC/R Programs and location. Electrical Training Center programs are eligible for TWU Training and Upgrading Funds.
Electrical and HVAC/R Training Center has customize a private Electrical training program to be offered to 15 students during the daytime hours of 9am to 1pm or evening hours 5pm to 9pm. TWU local 100 members only. Students who do not make it into the Elevate program can use tuition reimbursement to join Electrical and HVAC/R Training Center throughout the year.

6071 - HVAC/R Program -
600 Hours Overview
The HVAC Course is a comprehensive HVACR training program for heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration installers and technicians. Topics covered include: Common aspects of HVAC/R, Basic electrical theory, common control components, HVAC comfort parameters, refrigeration components, concept of combustion at a fundamental level, combustion basics for natural gas and propane fuels, terminology of heating and power boilers, and reverse-cycle air source heat pumps. This program provides EPA certification 608.
The day begins with electrical theory, which the students then apply in practice. The classroom is designed with individual stations for the use of each student to demonstrate the lesson of the day. In addition to classroom hands-on training, the school has partnered with Habitat For Humanity.

Tuition Reimbursement for Electrical & HVAC/R Programs
Security or Fire Alarm System Installer (NY State License Preparation Course)– 81 Hours
In this course, students will learn about: the installations: standards, codes and techniques; control panels and alarm transmissions; security systems; and fire technology. The course helps prepare the student for the Security or Fire Alarms System Installer Exam. Per NYS, individuals with a criminal background may be ineligible to obtain a NYS Security & Fire Alarm Installer License. Inquire with NYS Dept. of State Division of Licensing for additional information.ATTENTION PROSPECTIVE SECURITY AND FIRE ALARM LICENSE CANDIDATESThe State of New York requires you to complete and pass an81 Hour course of training in order to obtain your NYS License.This course consists of 5 Modules:Installations; Controls & Alarm Transmission; Security Systems; Fire Technology and Testing & Maintenance.In addition, you must also successfully pass the New York State License Exam given throughout the year at various State testing locations. This course will fulfill the 81 Hour training requirement and help you prepare to take the NY State Exam.Currently we offer this class 4 times a year.PowerPoint Presentation to be provided on CD.A laptop is recommended for this class.

To qualify for a Master Electrician License in Nassau & Suffolk County, individuals must prove 7 years working under a licensed Master Electrician.The course helps to prepare individuals for the Master Electrician Exams given inNassau and Suffolk Counties.Topics include:1.
